We are including 75% of all meals, accommodation, transportation within Argentina (not the flight to Argentina.
We also are including several excursions like a food tour, biking in Mendoza, hiking tour and Argentina BBQ experience.
We consider this to be a very active trip. There will be lots of walking in BA and opportunities to go hiking & do other physical activities. If you have trouble walking more than 2 miles, this trip may not be the best for you.
Yes, you will have a lot of time in BA to explore on your own if you choose. A loose itinerary of events will be sent to you closer to the date of departure.
It will be more difficult to do things on your own in Mendoza but not impossible to find alone time if you so desire.
Yes, breakfasts and some meals are not included and we estimate $30/day extra is required.
Late November & early December is considered summer in Argentina. Rompers and dresses were great for the trip as well as a blue jean jacket for cold nights.
Mendoza is hotter than BA, similar to Napa Valley in wind and heat. Light fabrics and sandals were a good choice there but tennis shoes or good walking shoes were better for BA and all the walking.
As a single gal, who traveled to BA and Mendoza in late 2021, I felt the country to be pretty safe. Obviously, I do not walk down dark streets alone but in general, I felt comfortable everywhere I went.
We are staying at a mix of hotels & Airbnb’s. The level of luxury would be considered 2-3 stars.
100% yes! The secret to bringing back wine is to dedicate 1 suitcase to this endeavor. On Megan’s trip in 2021, she brought 2 bags, one for clothes and the other for wine. She brought back 9 bottles of wine.
Please note, that the US Customs allows a certain amount of fortified wine duty-free. Do your research on how much you are comfortable bringing back as 9 bottles are typically more than is allowed but Megan lives by her own rules.

Travel is unpredictable! Flights get canceled, pipes in hotels burst and bags get lost or stolen. The Adventure Gals partners with World Nomads for its insurance. Travel insurance offers travelers coverage for unforeseen problems, from a canceled flight to a serious illness—or in rare cases, the financial default of a travel supplier. If an illness, accident, or other covered unforeseen circumstance forces a traveler to cancel or interrupt their travel plans, they face two potentially major financial losses—money invested in nonrefundable pre-payments and medical expenses that in many instances may not be covered by health insurance.
Deposit Requirement: 10% deposit is required (most trips) immediately after days of booking request. A booking can not be guaranteed without a deposit.
Tour Costs: Each tour must be paid in full no less than 60 days before departure. 50% of the tour must be paid no later than 120 days before departure. If booking within this time frame, the trip must be paid 100% at the time of booking. If tour fees are not paid within these time frames, tour deposits will be forfeited.
Refund Policy: There is a 10% non-refundable fee per person on all received cancellation requests, regardless of the period when the cancellation is submitted. If you cancel your Trip 90 days or more before the start date of the Trip, then you will receive a refund of 100% of the total money paid to The Adventure Gals minus the 10% non-refundable fee. If you cancel your Trip within 90 days before the start date of the Trip, then you will receive a refund of 50% of the total money paid to The Adventure Gals, minus the 10% non-refundable fee. Any cancellations made 59 days or less before the trip’s start date receive no refund. No refunds will be given to no-shows. No refunds will be given to someone who has failed to pay their balance on time and/or decides to withdraw from the Trip after the Trip has started. In the event of a cancellation, the appropriate refund shall be sent out within 4 weeks from the date of cancellation. Please note that payments paid via Stripe or PayPal are entitled to refunds less processing fees.
Tour Cancellations: The Adventure Gals reserves the right to cancel any tour for any reason and will notify each guest as soon as possible. All deposits and monies paid will be refunded 100% in such an event. These policies are strictly enforced due to logistical partners in-country and reservations made with local hotels.

Once the cancellation has been received and processed, The Adventure Gals and its representatives have no other obligations to travelers on canceled trips, including any costs or fees related to the issuance and/or cancellation of airline tickets and other additional travel service reservations made by The Adventure Gals for you or made directly by you, including but not limited to, additional hotel nights, airport transfers, guided tours, meals, and so forth. The cancellation is policy is strictly enforced due to logistical endeavors and reservations made with various local entities.
The Adventure Gals reserves the right to cancel any trip for any reason and will notify each traveler as soon as possible. All deposits and monies paid will be refunded 100% in such an event. The Adventure Gals can not reimburse you for any flights booked for this trip. This is 100% the responsibility of the traveler. If a trip is canceled due to acts of nature, it will be rescheduled for new dates and no refunds will be offered. Monies can however be transferred to different trips and a refund could be offered if that trip is less than what was paid. Please note that payments paid via Stripe or PayPal are entitled to refunds less processing fees.
We are not offering refunds for any tour participants who catch Covid-19 before the trip departs. No tour participants who have tested positive for Covid-19 at the time of departure are eligible to go on this trip. Please refer to our cancellation policy for the refund information.
Yes, Iceland is one of the few countries requiring proof of vaccination to board any Iceland-bound planes. Iceland requires those entering the country to take a Covid test. If anyone tests positive for Covid-19, they would need to follow the current quarantining guidelines provided by Iceland and thus could forfeit part of the scheduled tour until they were cleared for travel. The Adventure Gasl is not responsible for anyone who tests positive for the Corona virus during this trip.
